ACV’s Artisan Trail Network offers a unique opportunity to form strategic alliances with artisans, venues, galleries and retailers across the state, while connecting points of interest, restaurants, and accommodation locations in the related communities in order to enhance regional tourism activity. The Artisan Trail Network is an innovative program to leverage ACV’s broad-based grassroots membership into a coordinated marketing and outreach campaign to strengthen local communities while strengthening Virginia’s craft industry.

To help you decide among the many creative excursions and activities available as you plan your trip to Virginia, we have developed the Artisan Trail Network to guide you as you navigate a unique adventure.  We invite you to explore the byways and back roads, visiting craft artisan studios, agri-artisan gardens & farms, wineries & breweries, galleries & craft related venues, local businesses & eclectic shops and historical & cultural points of interest.

Create your own personalized itinerary using our interactive trip planner which connects you to a multitude of delightful places to visit via the “Virginia is for Lovers” traveler’s gateway.  Discover unique trail sites to visit by searching by media, type of business, keywords and other search options. Select the places and talented artisans you want to visit and print out the driving maps that will get you to their door.

Enjoy the local flavor of your destinations by choosing unique dining and privately owned lodging as you wind your way from studio to farm enjoying the scenic landscapes and points of interest along the way.

Use our calendar feature to look ahead and plan your trip around seasonal events like arts & craft festivals, exhibitions, farm market activities and cultural holidays.
