Artist Statement:

For thirty years my passion has been the ethereal, fluid, and translucent qualities of stained glass. While owning a glass shop I taught traditional stained glass and worked with various clients such as galleries, home owners, and architects. Sculptural or functional, medieval to modern, each piece reflects my love of the craft. My major source of inspiration is Louis Tiffany. I was presented with the chance of a lifetime to apprentice with a glass conservationist in restoring historic Tiffany windows. The daily discipline of high technical skill has refined and clarified my vision of new work. From lamps to windows and sculptures, each artistic element is carefully crafted using traditional techniques and frequently the unusual such as found objects and metals; slumped, fused, plated, and painted glass.
