Artist Statement:

Glass is in itself an expressive medium; it is vibrant, fragile, mysterious and timeless. My work seeks to embrace what is inherent to glass as a medium – to use its expressiveness as a vehicle to articulate my visions. I create my sculptural and functional art glass combining a variety of techniques. Pieces are kiln formed, flame-worked, etched and enameled. Each design is infused with hues that vary with changing light, and dimension created through the subtle use of textural elements and shading. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion for glass with my students and customers at The Glass Palette in downtown Charlottesville.
