Artist Statement:

I love the qualities of clay, it’s softness when the pots are made, and it’s strength and endurance once the pot has been fired. Most of my work is thrown on the wheel, and most pieces are then altered or cut when still moist. I strive to make pieces that have a sense of strength and purpose as well as beauty. I hope that the things I love and my experiences make a mark in my work. Equally important is the satisfaction if creating pottery that will be enjoyed by others for every day use.
