ACV Patrons are all those who support ACV’s mission of promoting the culture of Virginia artisans and providing education, entrepreneurship, research, retail and exhibition opportunities for Virginia artisans.
Craft Artisans are individuals who make hand-crafted objects without the use of kits or commercial models, and whose primary components are not manufactured. ACV Craft Artisans may elect to participate in the Artisan Trail Network as a Craft Studio site (ACV juried status is not required of Artisan Trail Network participants). An Artisan Trail Network Craft Studio site features 5 or fewer artisans (including the owner of the studio). If more than 5 artisans are featured in a Craft Studio, the site must upgrade to a “Craft-Related Venue” (see below, ACV Affiliate & Craft-Related Venue Memberships).
ACV Affiliate & Craft-Related Venue Memberships:
ACV Affiliates are businesses and organizations that support the mission and work of ACV. Craft-Related Venues are businesses and organizations who are primarily engaged in selling, exhibiting or promoting locally made crafts. This can include schools, museums, galleries and cultural/historic sites that have a direct connection to artisan aspects and cultural heritage. ACV Affiliates and Craft-Related Venues may elect to participate in the Artisan Trail Network.
The ACV Jury is process that provides critique and distinction for ACV member artisan work judged to be of the highest level of quality indicative of Virginia's fine heritage of creativity and workmanship. After making payment, you will be taken to the Image Upload form. If you are sending a payment, you can go to the Image Upload form directly by clicking here.
Agri-Artisans are agricultural-based Virginia businesses that rely on natural resources of the land such as family farms, vineyards, wineries, breweries, orchards, organic farming, roadside stands, etc. These enterprises produce food, fiber, unique crops or livestock, add value to traditional agricultural products, or offer recreational, education, nature or other farm based activities. ACV Agri-Artisans may elect to participate in the Artisan Trail Network.
Supporting Trail Site, Artisan Trail Network :
Supporting Trail Sites are businesses or sites that enhance the ACV Artisan Trail Network and as such are not required to become ACV members. These sites offer visitors places to eat, sleep or unique places to visit and include, but are not limited to bed and breakfasts, restaurants, agri-tourism venues that represent agri-artisans, entertainment venues and other points of interest.
